Each passenger may bring one carry-on bag plus one personal item.

Carry-On Bag

• Maximum dimensions:
  9″ × 16″ × 22.5″ (22.5 cm × 40 cm × 56 cm)
• Maximum weight:
  13 lbs (6 kg)

Personal Item
A small item that fits under the seat in front of you.

• Examples: purse, small handbag, small laptop bag
• Maximum dimensions:
  10″ × 12″ × 8″ (25 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm)

All carry-on items must meet the aircraft’s approved size and weight limits and fit in the overhead bin or under the seat.

Checked baggage allowances depend on your fare type and destination.

Weight limit per bag:
44 lbs (20 kg)

Maximum dimensions per bag:
24″ × 19″ × 48″ (61 cm × 48 cm × 122 cm)
Bags must not exceed the aircraft’s approved stowage limits.

Fees:
No checked baggage fees

Oversized baggage:
For items larger than the above dimensions, passengers must contact the local cargo department at least 24 hours before departure to make arrangements.

*Infants are allowed free of charge an approved car seat and a stroller. Other infant accessories are not included in this free allowance.

Baggage over your free checked allowance is accepted subject to fees and space availability.

Weight Limits

• Maximum weight accepted as excess baggage at check-in:
  26 lbs (12 kg)
• Items over 26 lbs (12 kg) must be shipped as cargo.

Fees

• Excess baggage fees must be paid at check-in before departure
• Rates do not include provincial or federal taxes
• Additional charges may apply for musical instruments (see Rule 56)

Transport Conditions

• Excess baggage travels on a space-available basis
• Oversized, overweight, or specialty items may require cargo handling

Air Creebec accepts mobility aids and other assistive devices free of charge, in addition to your standard baggage allowance.

We accept various special items with advance notice and additional fees.

• Musical Instruments
  • Small Instruments (Carry-On)
    • You may bring a small musical instrument (e.g., violin, flute) as part of your carry-on allowance if:
      • It fits safely in an overhead bin or under-seat storage
      • There is space available at boarding
      • The instrument is properly packed in a hard-shell case
      • It does not contain any prohibited items
      • If stored in the aircraft closet (when available), max size:
        24″ × 19″ × 48″ (22.5 × 40 × 122 cm)
      • Maximum weight: 13 lbs (6 kg)
    • Instruments too large for the cabin may be checked.

  • Large Instruments (Checked Baggage)
    • Large instruments may be checked if:
      • Maximum size does not exceed:
        24″ × 19″ × 48″ (61 × 48 × 122 cm)
        (Larger items must be shipped as cargo—contact us 24 hours prior.)
      • Maximum weight: 44 lbs (20 kg)
      • They are stored securely and meet aircraft stowage requirements
      • They are packed in a hard-shell case
      • Applicable checked-baggage fees are paid
    • Please note:
      • Delicate or high-value instruments are not recommended as checked baggage.
      • Accommodation is subject to available space.
      • If checked separately, an instrument counts as one checked bag.
      • Additional charges apply if total checked weight exceeds your fare allowance.

• Mobility Aids & Assistive Devices
  • Mobility aids are carried free of charge, in addition to your baggage allowance, and receive priority handling.
  • Accepted Items
    • Wheelchairs (manual or electric)
    • Scooters
    • Walkers, canes, crutches, braces
    • Communication devices
    • Prosthetic or medical devices
    • Portable oxygen concentrators (approved models)
  • Key Rules
    • Mobility aids are returned promptly upon arrival.
    • Some electric wheelchairs may not fit on Dash-8-100/300 aircraft depending on dimensions.
    • Maximum load/offload capability (Dash-8-100/300): 350 lbs (159 kg)
    • If a mobility aid cannot be accepted due to size, weight, or aircraft limitations, the passenger will be informed immediately.
    • Small assistive devices may remain with the passenger in the cabin when space permits.

• Medical Oxygen (Passenger-Supplied Cylinders)
  • Dash-8 Aircraft Only
    • Medical oxygen cylinders may be carried in the cabin under strict conditions:
      • Only Type M-15 (D-type) or Type M-9 (C-type) cylinders
      • Must be placed in Air Creebec-supplied storage boxes
      • Boxes must be stored under the seat in front of the passenger
      • Maximum 1 cylinder per box
      • Box remains on board when not in use
      • No advance paperwork required (but advance notice recommended)
      • Oxygen cannot be used in flight when carried as cargo
  • Additional Notes
    • Up to 2 Type D cylinders may be carried in the cabin (depending on flight time).
    • Empty cylinders may travel in cargo with valve open (no paperwork required).
    • Passenger-owned oxygen generators are NOT accepted.

• Portable Oxygen Concentrators (POCs)
  • POCs are permitted for all phases of flight if they are on the approved list, including:

  • POCs must be:
    • Approved for air travel (RTCA/DO-160 or FAA labelled)
    • Fully charged with enough battery for the entire journey
    • Capable of fitting under the seat

• ANIMALS
  • Animals (Checked Baggage)
    • Container must display owner’s name + phone number
    • Maximum 2 kennels per aircraft (unless authorized)
    • Up to 2 adult animals of comparable size (max 14 kg each) may share one kennel
    • Up to 3 animals from same litter (max 14 kg each) may share one kennel
    • Dogs and cats must travel in a rigid cage
    • If kennel exceeds size/weight limits, shipment must be processed as cargo
    • Fees (Checked)
      • Quebec: $225.21 (taxes incl.)
      • Ontario: $221.37 (taxes incl.)
    • Note: Fees do not apply to service animals, ESDs, or search/rescue dogs.

  • Animals (In Cabin)
    • Only 1 animal per passenger
    • Max 1 animal per cabin
    • In-cabin kennel max size:
      9″ × 10″ × 15″ (22.5 × 25 × 37.5 cm)
    • Combined weight (animal + container) must not exceed:
      13 lbs (6 kg)
    • Container must fit under the seat in front of the passenger
    • Animal must remain in the carrier for the entire flight
    • In-cabin animal may be carried in place of carry-on baggage (charges apply)
    • If an allergic passenger is on board, the animal may be relocated to cargo
    • Fees (In-Cabin)
      • Quebec: $225.25 (taxes incl.)
      • Ontario: $221.37 (taxes incl.)

For safety and regulatory reasons, certain items cannot be transported on Air Creebec flights. Restrictions follow the Air Creebec Tariffs & Conditions, Transport Canada, ICAO, and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Items Not Accepted as Baggage (Prohibited in All Baggage)

• Items forbidden by law or regulation
• Cremated and non-cremated human remains
• Items that could endanger the aircraft, crew, passengers, or cargo
• Corrosive, flammable, explosive, toxic, or radioactive materials
• Items deemed unsuitable due to weight, size, fragility, or perishability
• Money, jewellery, precious metals, negotiable papers, securities, or valuables
• Business/legal documents (subject to carry-on size/weight limits)
• Samples, passports, identification documents
• Medication or medical equipment (except approved mobility aids and assistive devices)

Firearms & Ammunition

Firearms for hunting or sporting purposes may be accepted only in checked baggage if:

• Firearms are unloaded
• Safety catch is ON
• Firearm is properly packed
• Ammunition complies with ICAO/IATA regulations

Weapons such as antique firearms, swords, knives, etc., may be accepted as checked baggage at the carrier’s discretion if suitably packed.

Carry-On Restrictions

The following cannot be carried in the cabin:

• Liquids over 100 ml (allowed in checked baggage)
• Sharp objects (knives, scissors > 6 cm)
• Tools longer than 7 cm
• Sporting goods (e.g., hockey sticks, baseball bats)

Carry-on liquids must follow the 3-1-1 rule:
100 ml containers, in one clear 1 L bag (one per passenger).
Medications and baby formula are exempt with declaration.
